Wow.

Well. I just don't know what to say anymore. Apparently the entire damn city is united toward razing entire blocks of downtown historic structures.

I was flabbergasted by reading this post on Steve's blog, including letters from Clay Bennett and Larry Nichols arguing on behalf of the SandRidge Commons project. These aren't people who intend to slight downtown..

Oy veigh.

They are all friends that are partial owners of the Thunder. They don't understand the urban envrironment. They only understand spending money to make their companies to look good. They see the $100,000,000 being spent and thats it. They don't see the history or possible residential possibilities those buildings have.

Its the good ole boy thing too. They are in each others rich boy circle and they just want the $ being spent to hit the radar nationally to make their city look good. Restoring old building doesn't hit the national radar.

That's very true Curt, but I can't figure out a way to penetrate the faulty logic.. $100 million is great but it can also be extremely destructive sometimes.
